“Superphone”, one of Russian telephone companies, recently registered a trademark in a form of a “smiley face” –
. From now on, this company is planning to ask for compensation from everyone who uses a smiley in advertising materials. All the other companies refuse to pay anything, especially since it’s not the first time that a “smiley” was registered (in 2005 a WWII veteran Viktor Petrov tried to sue Siemens for using “his” smiley faces in their phones).

Wow. Maybe its time to register dots, commas, brackets, etc. (and to register “etc.”)?.. I, personally, would like to register F@#K, since I use it so much. Too lazy to do it tho
(oops, I used a smiley).
What do you think??
